Taiwan’s Chung Hua Plastic named the only Taiwan-based finalist at the 2026 Manufacturing Leadership Awards

Recognition for practical manufacturing digitalization

Chung Hua Plastic Industry Co., Ltd. was named the only Taiwan-based finalist in the 2026 Manufacturing Leadership Awards. The company was selected in the Enterprise Integration & Technology category for its project, “Parameter-Bound Digital Product Passport for Unit-Level Supply Chain Traceability.”

The project gives each molded component a unique digital identity. A QR code links the physical part to production parameters, inspection results and manufacturing history, allowing teams to trace a specific unit without relying on scattered paper files or separate departmental records.

From production data to faster decisions

The system is in operation at Chung Hua Plastic’s Taiwan facility and supports more than 300,000 Digital Product Passports each month. According to the company’s award submission, traceability investigations were shortened from approximately two hours to about ten minutes, while production defect rates were reduced by more than 30%.

This approach is designed for real manufacturing conditions: it connects injection molding, quality inspection and downstream processes at the unit level. Additional deployments are underway as Chung Hua Plastic extends the same traceability model across more production programs.

International recognition

The Manufacturing Leadership Awards program recognizes manufacturers and technology projects that demonstrate measurable operational impact. Chung Hua Plastic’s finalist selection places a Taiwan-based plastic manufacturer alongside global manufacturing organizations recognized for enterprise integration and digital transformation.
